I feel like I know more about Nepal than any other foreign country I’ve ever been to. Honestly, I could have written a hundred more things I’ve learned during my time there.
I’d consistently here chatter of Nepalese locals drowning in Phewa Lake, like it was no big deal. It’s true that most of the people there are mountain climbers, not swimmers. So, I decided to take a few groups of students for crash-course swimming lessons–which proved to be waaay more difficult than I thought.
After completing my pilgrimage in Spain, I return to Nepal for a little R&R. However, I may have come back at a rough time as a cow crashing may have opened up the door to unwelcome Nepali karma.
Nepal is a noteworthy country that gave a sense of “home” that I haven’t felt in a long time. I stayed too long and had to force myself to leave in order to continue on my Quest to the Seven Continents.
